Stuck? That was probably the first word that popped into her head. The girl groaned looking at the van that was now hurrying away, the hum of the vehicle still to be heard. That was just her luck. Her own parents had ditched her on a trip they said that they wanted to have. Apparently they didn't though and that's what made her sad about it.
She supposed it wasn't all bad. Her parents said to walk around the forest for a while and they would come back for her by dark. Such nice parents, smart as well. Didn't they know that it wasn't safe for anyone to go into the forest alone? Not that they hadn't before. Emma sighed she would be stuck here for a while, why not scour the area? It wasn't like she had much else to do apparently. She didn't look as to where she was going and didn't know where the nearest road was.
Heaving her backpack onto her back once again she sighed. At least Elm had all she needed. Food, water, a watch, spray paint. It wasn't that she was much of a spray painter but she didn't want to lose her way in the forest. Clutching her camera close she held her breath making her way into the woodsy area.
Holding her breath she could hear everything around her. The tweets and twerps from the birds the shuffling of bushes and even scurrying of animals. Letting her breath of air out she smiled to herself. It didn't seem so bad, hopefully she wouldn't run into anything too dangerous. Or, at least she hoped that she would be able to run faster then it. Em rolled her eyes at the thought. She wasn't the fastest runner or even close, and everything in the forest could probably catch up with her and take her down if they wanted to bad enough, even rabbits. Not that they would, but she had that kind of luck any how.
